Alsólugas is a township in Bihor county with three ancient villages.
The geographical location: Alsólugas is in the neighbourhood of the Western Carpathians, in the Rév- Báródi basin, on the right side of the Sebes- Körös river, on the 22°17′ eastern circles of longitude and on the 47°4′ northern circles of latitude. Alsólugas is 29 km far from Nagyvárad (Oradea), 110 km far from Kolozsvár (Cluj Napoca) and 2,5 km far from Örvénd (Urvind). On the left
side of the Sebes- Körös river runs parallel the railway track Oradea – Bucharest with the European route E 60, which runs through the village Alsólugas. Örvénd is to the west, most of its houses are located by the European route E 60, so the village has got a long main street and eight side streets. The centre of the village is the church, as in the most the villages by the Sebes- Körös valley.
